Job summary

Nest & Care in Bethesda, MD is seeking a dedicated PRN Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver high-quality home nursing care. This flexible, as-needed role lets you support patients and families in the comfort of their homes, while maintaining clinical autonomy.

As a nurse-owned agency offering 24/7 home care, you will perform initial assessments, develop care plans, coordinate with care managers, train caregivers, and ensure accurate documentation in compliance with state and federal laws.

Qualifications

• RN State License – MD with Trach care experience is required.
• Current CPR and First Aid certification.
• TB vaccination and Hep B vaccination.
• Graduation from an accredited and approved nursing program, as indicated by school transcript or diploma.
• Clear criminal background and driving record.
• Two professional references within the healthcare field.
• Prior home care experience is strongly preferred.
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Strong interpersonal skills, including a willingness to teach and mentor caregivers.
• Comfort with technology; prior experience with electronic medical records preferred.
• Ability to drive and travel to cases as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Communicates with care managers, caregivers, office staff, clients, family members and other medical professionals about client's needs and concerns
• Consults with the Clinical Director regarding the supervision of services
• Provides training to the clients regarding their care, when requested
• Assures proper maintenance of clinical records and documentation in compliance with State and Federal laws
• Performs client evaluations every 30, 90 or 120 days as needed by the client's Plan of Care
• Performs caregiver evaluations every 30, 90 or 120 days as needed by state requirements
• Provides skills evaluations for new staff during the orientation process
• Trains new staff and existing staff
• Provides Clinical Oversight
