Job summary

PMC Medical in Arlington Heights, IL seeks an experienced Registered Nurse to oversee clinical care and health management for adults with IDD in a community setting. This role offers Monday–Friday daytime hours with no heavy lifting and a meaningful clinical leadership focus.

You will direct health assessments, coordinate care plans, train staff on DHS-approved medication administration, and collaborate with other providers to maintain accurate medical records.

Qualifications

• Active Illinois RN license in good standing.
• Solid bedside nursing background with strong clinical judgment.
• Experience with IDD population preferred or a strong desire to serve this population.
• Clear verbal and written communication skills for staff training and family coordination.

Responsibilities

Salary: 80k-90k USD

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Full-Time, 40 hrs/week)

On-Call: One weekend per month

This role delivers a rare balance in nursing: a meaningful, clinical‑leadership focus with predictable, Monday-through-Friday daytime hours and zero heavy physical lifting.

Key Responsibilities

• Resident Health Management: Direct clinical oversight, routine health assessments, and care plan coordination for adult residents.
• Staff Training & Compliance: Deliver state-approved (DHS) medication administration training and ongoing clinical guidance to direct support staff.
• Interdisciplinary Support: Act as the primary clinical resource for facility caregivers and external healthcare providers.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate, timely medical records and regulatory documentation.

Candidate Profile & Requirements

• Licensure: Active Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
• Clinical Experience: Solid bedside nursing background with sharp clinical judgment and triage skills.
• Specialized Knowledge: Prior experience supporting individuals with IDD is highly preferred (or a strong desire to serve this population).
