Job summary

Alexandria Health and Rehabilitation is seeking a licensed nurse to supervise the nursing team and manage resident care on the unit. The role includes developing and updating the plan of care, reviewing assignments, and ensuring care standards are met according to facility policies.

The successful candidate will hold Indiana nursing licensure in good standing and bring experience from long‑term care settings.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited School of Nursing and hold a current license by the State of Indiana in good standing.
• Prefer at least one year’s experience in Long Term Care or related field.
• Must display good emotional health and be capable of extended periods of standing, bending and heavy lifting.
• Ability to maintain professional attitude, including such areas as confidentiality, concern for all people, cooperativeness and conscientious use of time.

Responsibilities

• Supervise/manage personnel on the unit.
• Be responsible for total care of all residents on the unit and supervise direct care staff.
• Review daily assignments of nursing staff to ensure duties match ability and training.
• Initiate and update the nursing care plan for residents on the unit.

Nurses are valuable members of our health care team who provide direct and indirect nursing care for residents, as prescribed by the physician, assuring that care is provided according to established facility standards and policies and in accordance with Federal and State governing regulations. Licensed Nurses must be able to provide for resident assessment and assist in the development and implementation of each resident’s plan of care. Annual Wage Scale: $62,400-$94,640 Shift: Day Shift

About the Role:

• To supervise/manage personnel on his/her unit
