Job Description

UC Health is hiring a full-time Registered MRI Technologist for the radiology department for Second shift at University of Cincinnati Medical Center. We are offering up to an $8,000 sign-on bonus!

The Registered MRI Technologist will support the University of Cincinnati Medical Center's Radiology Department by performing all aspects of magnetic resonance imaging according to established protocols. This includes reviewing patient histories and requests for services.

Responsibilities

• Communicate effectively with patients and staff, responding to varying needs.
• Perform MRI procedures according to protocols, explain procedures, review safety, and ensure quality.
• Operate imaging equipment safely and review films for diagnostic quality.
• Review and administer medications as directed, providing patient care post-procedure.
• Prepare and administer contrast media or medications intravenously or orally.
• Assist in emergency procedures like CPR as needed.
• Maintain records, participate in quality control, and suggest improvements.

Qualifications

• Completion of a JRCERT-approved program or an Associate degree in Radiologic, Nuclear, or Sonographic Technology.
• Preferred 1 year of experience.
• Registered by the ARRT or equivalent; ARRT-MR licensure required.
• Current CPR certification by the American Heart Association.
• Current BLS certification for Healthcare workers.
