Job Description

UC Health is hiring a full-time MRI Technologist for the Radiology department for the second shift at West Chester Hospital. The MRI Technologist's role is to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients by producing diagnostic MR scans of various organs and structures of the human body. Operates with minimal supervision, uses independent judgment to determine the quality of images, and ensures compliance with established protocols.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate clearly with patients and staff, responding to their needs.
  • Perform MRI procedures according to protocols, explain procedures, review safety, and ensure image quality.
  • Operate imaging equipment safely and review films for diagnostic quality.
  • Review and administer medications as directed by physicians and provide patient care post-procedure.
  • Prepare and administer contrast media or medications intravenously or orally.
  • Assist in emergency procedures such as CPR when needed.
  • Maintain records, participate in quality control, and seek departmental improvements.

Qualifications

  • Completion of or enrollment in a JRCERT-approved Radiologic Technology/Nuclear Medicine/Sonography program or an Associate of Science Degree in Radiologic Technology.
  • One year of experience preferred.
  • Must be registered with ARRT, NMTCB, or ARDMS.
