Job summary

Rochester Regional Health’s Imaging Services department is seeking an MRI Tech - Registered at Canton Potsdam Hospital in Potsdam, NY. This per diem position supports MRI procedures, aligns with provider orders, and adheres to NYS DOH and ARRT standards.

The role requires graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technologist or MRI program, NYS IV certification, ARRT/ARMRIT certification (or eligibility), and current AHA-BLS.

Qualifications

• Requires NYS IV certification per Article 35.
• Graduate of Radiologic Technologist or MRI program.
• ARRT or ARMRIT certification (or eligible).
• AHA-BLS certification, or obtain within 3 months of hire.
• Per diem role with 12-hour shifts and on-call requirement.

Responsibilities

• Operates MRI equipment to perform MRI procedures per provider orders.
• Assists Radiologist in MRI interventional procedures and provides relevant images.
• Adheres to MRI safety guidelines and educates staff on safety.
• Follows patient identification, education, consents, and infection control procedures.
• Participates in QA/QC procedures and maintains image quality records.
• Manages MRI equipment documentation and safety processes.

Education

Graduate of Radiologic Technologist or MRI program
