Job summary

Shalom Gardens Senior Living in Richmond, VA, is seeking a Registered Medication Aide (RMA) for part-time and PRN roles. The pay rate is $18.50-$21.15 per hour, based on experience with potential shift differentials.

The RMA will safely administer medications, monitor residents, assist with daily living activities, and support a caring, home-like environment. You will document medications, watch for side effects, cooperate with nursing staff, and promote safety and residents’ wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Medication Aide (RMA) certification in VA.
• Experience in Assisted Living/Memory Care or Senior Living preferred.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Compassionate, reliable, and resident-focused.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, administer, and document medications in accordance with state regulations and facility policy.
• Observe residents for side effects, changes in condition, or unusual reactions and report promptly to nursing staff.
• Assist residents with personal care and daily activities as needed.
• Support residents’ emotional and social well-being through compassionate interactions.
• Maintain accurate medication records and uphold confidentiality.
