Shalom Parkside Senior Living in Richmond, VA is hiring a Registered Medication Aide (RMA) for part-time shifts (7-3 and 11-7) with every other weekend availability. The role involves safely administering medications, monitoring residents, and assisting with daily living activities to support independence and quality of life.

Qualified candidates must hold an active VA RMA certification and have experience in assisted living or memory care.

Responsibilities

Schedule: Part Time (7-3 & 11-7), Every Other Weekend (3-11)

Pay Rate: $18.50-$21.15/hr (based on experience, shift differentials may apply)

Position Summary

The Registered Medication Aide is responsible for safely and accurately administering medications, monitoring residents, and assisting with daily living activities as needed — all while maintaining a positive and supportive environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, administer, and document medications in accordance with state regulations and facility policy.

• Observe residents for side effects, changes in condition, or unusual reactions and report promptly to nursing staff.

• Assist residents with personal care and daily activities as needed.

• Support residents’ emotional and social well-being through compassionate interactions.

• Maintain accurate medication records and uphold confidentiality.

• Promote safety, cleanliness, and a welcoming community atmosphere.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Medication Aide (RMA) certification in the State of VA.

• Prior experience in Assisted Living, Memory Care, or Senior Living preferred.

• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

• Compassionate, reliable, and resident-focused.
