Minimum Requirements

• Medical Technologist – Registered (MDT‑R)
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Laboratory Science or Technology, Chemical or Biological Science (Required)
  • 1–2 years clinical experience in a related field (Preferred)
  • ASCP or AMT certification required
• Medical Laboratory Technician – Registered (MLT‑R)
  • Associate’s Degree in Medical Laboratory Science or Technology, Chemical or Biological Science (Required)
  • 1–2 years clinical experience in a related field (Preferred)
  • ASCP or AMT certification required
• New and recent graduates are encouraged. Candidates must have completed the required degree program, completed clinical training, and be eligible for ASCP or AMT certification within one year of hire.

Job Overview

This position involves performing a comprehensive range of laboratory tests, ensuring the accuracy of test results, and reporting findings to physicians, pathologists, or other medical professionals. The role spans Transfusion Services, Chemistry, Hematology, Microbiology/Immunology, Toxicology, Special Chemistry, and Fibrinolysis. Responsibilities include operating and maintaining laboratory instruments, using the laboratory computer system, and adhering to established policies and procedures. While supervising a general supervisor, independent work is expected in specimen processing, test performance, and result reporting.
