Laredo Medical Center is seeking a Registered Medical Assistant to provide patient care under supervision. The role supports clinical and administrative functions, including assisting with procedures, maintaining exam rooms, managing patient intake, and ensuring efficient clinic operations while delivering excellent patient service.

Qualifications include 0–1 year of medical practice experience or externship, RMA certification, and BCLS.

Qualifications

• 0–1 year of experience in a medical practice setting or externship completed.
• RMA certification required with BCLS.
• Proficiency with medical office procedures and patient care techniques.

Responsibilities

• Assist providers with clinical procedures including vital signs, injections, wounds, vaccines, and EKGs.
• Prepare and clean exam rooms for patient visits and procedures.
• Handle patient intake, triage calls, and documentation of medical information.
• Maintain daily logs and documentation; manage referrals and scheduling.
• Support front-d desk tasks: pre-registration, appointments, and insurance verification.
• Educate patients on medications, diets, and health topics as directed.
