Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP is seeking a Registered Funds Content Lawyer to develop a comprehensive content strategy and produce high-quality publications for a sophisticated audience of asset managers and fund sponsors.

The role requires practitioner-level expertise in the Investment Company Act of 1940, SEC rules, and fund structuring. The position offers a hybrid Boston-based model and close collaboration with partners and business development teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in investment management, securities regulation, or a closely related practice area.
• Demonstrated expertise in the Investment Company Act of 1940, SEC regulations, and fund structuring and operation.
• Exceptional writing and editing skills with publication-ready content.
• Strong analytical and research skills to distill regulatory developments into commentary.
• Able to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines and maintain style consistency.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a forward-looking editorial calendar and content pipeline for registered funds topics.
• Draft, edit, and publish client alerts, long-form articles, white papers, and market commentary.
• Translate complex legal concepts into clear, commercially oriented prose for asset managers and institutional investors.
• Coordinate with attorneys and leadership to align content with firm objectives and branding.
• Track regulatory developments and market trends to produce timely, insightful content.
