Job summary

Care New England in Warwick, RI is seeking a skilled Echocardiography Technologist to perform transthoracic and transesophageal studies, including contrast and stress echocardiography. The role involves image acquisition, preliminary interpretation, and collaboration with cardiology to guide patient care.

The candidate will use 2D, M-Mode, and Doppler imaging to record relevant data, assist during procedures, and ensure quality imaging for diagnosis and treatment planning.

Qualifications

• Training from a Cardio-Vascular program is required.
• RDMS or other credential may be required or preferred.
• Minimum three years practical experience in echocardiography is implied.

Responsibilities

• Explain and answer patient questions to ensure comfort during procedures.
• Perform routine and emergency echocardiograms using independent judgment.
• Identify cardiac abnormalities and notify Cardiologist as needed.
• Prepare and download Echocardiograms for Cardiologist review.
• Maintain daily records and complete billing for exams.
• Participate in quality improvement and accreditation activities.
