Job summary

St. Anthony North Hospital in Boulder, CO is seeking a Registered Echocardiography Technologist to perform and review baseline assessments and support diagnostic cardiac procedures with a focus on patient safety.

You will operate and maintain echocardiography equipment, handle TEE and Stress Echo testing, and work with the care team to ensure accurate results and high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• BLS through the American Heart Association.
• Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer/RCS.

Responsibilities

• Performs accurate and thorough echocardiograms as ordered by physician.
• Performs specialized testing using computer assisted devices including, but not limited to TEE, Stress Echo, Pharmacological Stress Echo's.
• Recognizes and promptly acts upon unusual results or patient response by informing primary health care team to ensure patient safety and foster optimal outcomes.
• Maintains high skill level through participation in CQI, inservices, ongoing education, and attendance at 80% of staff meetings.
• Promptly troubleshoots and corrects recording instrument malfunction or unusual patient problems that interfere with recordings.
• Must be able to adjust approach based on patient/family level of understanding of test procedure.
