Responsibilities

• Oversees purchase of food and supplies within budget to cover each meal.
• Provides guidance over diet planning, menu formulation, and service of regular and therapeutic diets.
• Ensures meals are nutritious, palatable, and prepared in a timely, consistent manner per diet orders.
• Interviews guests and families to obtain diet history.
• Completes the dietary portion of the clinical record timely and accurately.
• Participates in department head and interdisciplinary care plan meetings.
