Job summary

South Coast Post Acute is hiring a Part-Time Registered Dietitian (RD) to assess and optimize the nutritional care of residents in the center. You will advise the clinical team, dietary department, and Administration on nutritional status, lab values, intake, and therapeutic diets to support excellent patient outcomes.

Ideal candidates have 3-5 years in acute or long-term care, strong knowledge of nursing regulations, and a deep understanding of aging-related nutrition needs.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years’ experience in an acute or long-term care environment.
• Excellent knowledge of skilled nursing regulations (federal/state/local).
• Excellent knowledge of aging processes and nutrition needs of long-term care residents.

If yes, how you will contribute to the team:

As the Part-TimeRegistered Dietitian (RD), you will be responsible for assessing the nutritional care of each resident/patient in the center. You will advise the clinical team, dietary department, and Administration on the nutritional status of residents, including lab value interpretation, nutritional intake, consumption patterns, food/drug interactions, therapeutic diets, and overall customer satisfaction. Your role is key to ensuring optimal nutrition for our residents and maintaining high standards of care.

Must Have:

• 3-5 years’ experience in an acute or long-term care environment.
• Excellent knowledge of skilled nursing regulations (federal/state/local) as they pertain to the dietary field, including interpretation and implementation.
• Excellent knowledge of the aging process and the physical, psychosocial, and social needs of the long-term care resident population with regard to nutrition.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with PointClickCare (PCC).
