Job summary

Playa Del Rey Center in Los Angeles, CA seeks a Registered Dietitian (RD) to assess nutritional care for residents and advise the clinical team on nutrition status, lab interpretation, and therapeutic diets. You will contribute to high standards of care and patient satisfaction.

The ideal candidate holds a RD license, has 3–5 years in acute or long-term care, and is familiar with skilled nursing regulations and elder nutrition.

Qualifications

• Registered Dietitian License.
• 3-5 years’ experience in an acute or long-term care environment.
• Excellent knowledge of skilled nursing regulations (federal/state/local) as they pertain to the dietary field, including interpretation and implementation.
• Excellent knowledge of the aging process and the physical, psychosocial, and social needs of the long-term care resident population with regard to nutrition.

Responsibilities

• Assess the nutritional care of each resident/patient in the center.
• Advise the clinical team, dietary department, and Administration on nutritional status, lab value interpretation, and therapeutic diets.

If Yes, How You Will Contribute To The Team

As the Registered Dietitian (RD), you will be responsible for assessing the nutritional care of each resident/patient in the center. You will advise the clinical team, dietary department, and Administration on the nutritional status of residents, including lab value interpretation, nutritional intake, consumption patterns, food/drug interactions, therapeutic diets, and overall customer satisfaction. Your role is key to ensuring optimal nutrition for our residents and maintaining high standards of care.

Must Have

• Registered Dietitian License.
• 3-5 years’ experience in an acute or long-term care environment.
