Job summary

Royale Therapeutic Residential Center in Santa Ana, CA is seeking a Part-Time Registered Dietitian (RD) to assess residents’ nutritional care and advise the clinical team on status, labs, and therapeutic diets. The role focuses on high-quality care, collaboration with dietary staff, and resident satisfaction.

You will contribute to optimal nutrition for residents, working with administration to maintain standards of care. Prior long-term care experience and an RD license are required.

Qualifications

• Registered Dietitian License.
• 3–5 years’ experience in an acute or long-term care environment.
• Excellent knowledge of skilled nursing regulations (federal/state/local) as they pertain to the dietary field, including interpretation and implementation.
• Excellent knowledge of the aging process and the physical, psychosocial, and social needs of the long-term care resident population with regard to nutrition.

Responsibilities

• Assess the nutritional care of each resident/patient in the center.
• Advise the clinical team, dietary department, and Administration on the nutritional status of residents, including lab value interpretation, nutritional intake, consumption patterns, food/drug interactions, therapeutic diets, and overall customer satisfaction.
• Ensure optimal nutrition for residents and maintain high standards of care.
