Job summary

Lifekind Health in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Registered Dietitian to join our transdisciplinary team. You will assess patient nutrition needs, develop personalized meal plans, and counsel individuals and groups on healthy eating.

The ideal candidate holds Arizona RD licensure, has 1–3 years of experience or is a new graduate with training, strong communication, interpersonal skills, and bilingual Spanish/English is a plus. We offer comprehensive benefits and a supportive work environment.

• Current Registered Dietitian licensure/certification in Arizona.
• 1-3 years of relevant work experience preferred; open to recent graduates-Training available.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Effective interpersonal skills.
• Bilingual in Spanish/English is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient lifestyle, nutrition, and health needs.
• Assist patients in the development of specific nutrition goals.
• Develop thorough and cost-efficient meal plans that include healthy foods and meet nutritional goals.
• Evaluate the effects of meal plans and change plans as needed.
• Counsel patients on the relationship between good eating habits and preventing or managing specific diseases in individual and group settings.
• Translate nutrition science into understandable, practical eating advice.
• Keep up with the latest nutritional science research.
• Provide services in accordance with company guidelines, state and federal laws and regulations.
• Maintain detailed, legible, and confidential medical records after each patient visit.
• Code encounter forms according to time of the visit, procedures performed, and pertinent ICD-codes.

About the position:

• Prepare and review patient histories and obtain data through interviews
• Maintain detailed, legible, and confidential medical records after each patient visit in accordance with established protocols
• Code encounter forms according to time of the visit, procedures performed, and pertinent ICD-codes
• Attend internal and external meetings, workshops, and conferences and participate on task forces or committees, as necessary and/or required by company
• Follow Company Standards of Customer Service Behavior
• Participate in Quality Improvement (QI) Initiatives
