Job summary

AdventHealth in Altamonte Springs, FL is seeking a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist to perform nutrition-focused assessments, review medical records, collect data via interviews, and evaluate anthropometric status. This full-time on-site role supports patient nutrition care in a hospital setting.

Requirements include a Bachelor's degree in nutrition (Master's preferred), 10+ years of clinical experience, RD credential, and strong English communication.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, speak, and have good comprehension of conversational English [Required]
• Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office [Required]
• Bachelor's degree in nutrition or nutrition related field

Responsibilities

• Completes nutrition-focused physical assessments, takes measurements, reviews medical records, collects data via interviews, and evaluates anthropometric status.
• Evaluates assessment data to identify nutrition risks, nutrition problems, criteria consistent with malnutrition, knowledge deficits, and high-risk health behaviors.
• Offers nutrition interventions, orders, education, counseling, and referrals to other services.
• May place feeding tubes or perform indirect calorimetry studies. Provides counseling and education using evidence-based techniques that reflect appropriate health literacy and cultural sensitivity to patients with disease processes requiring nutritional management.
• Monitors and evaluates nutrition care plans to reach nutrition goals and promote optimal outcomes.
