Job summary

AdventHealth Tampa is seeking a qualified nutrition professional to perform nutrition-focused assessments, review medical records, and evaluate anthropometric status. You will identify nutrition risks and provide recommendations, education, and referrals as part of a comprehensive care plan.

Role requires 3+ years of clinical experience, a Bachelor’s in Nutrition (or related field), and strong English communication. This on-site position offers day shifts and a focus on Whole Person Well-being.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Nutrition or related field required.
• 3+ years of clinical experience required.
• Strong English communication skills and basic computer literacy.

Responsibilities

Job Description

• Completes nutrition-focused physical assessments, reviews medical records, collects data via interviews, and evaluates anthropometric status.
• Evaluates assessment data to identify nutrition risks, problems, malnutrition criteria, knowledge deficits, and high-risk health behaviors.
• Offers nutrition recommendations, orders, education, counseling, and referrals to other services.
• Provides counseling and education that reflect appropriate health literacy and cultural sensitivity to patients with disease processes requiring nutritional management.
• Uses evidence-based theories and concepts, including the transtheoretical model and motivational interviewing, in patient education and counseling.

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

• Must be able to read, write, speak, and have good comprehension of conversational English [Required]
• Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office [Required]

Bachelor's [Required]

Field Of Study

• In nutrition or nutrition related field
• Graduate degree in nutrition or nutrition related field AND One-year clinical experience

Work Experience
