The Community You’ll Be Caring For:

• Located on a lush tropical campus, our flagship hospital, 1,368-bed AdventHealth Orlando
• Serves as the major tertiary facility for much of the Southeast, the Caribbean, and South America
• Houses one of the largest Emergency Departments and cardiac catheterization labs in the country
• Provides service to over 32,000 inpatients and 125,000 outpatients annually

The role you’ll contribute: The registered dietitian uses the nutrition care process to screen, assess, diagnose, offer nutrition interventions, and monitor patients’ nutrition status and progress. They follow the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Standards of Practice and Standards of Professional Performance, and actively participate in outstanding customer service, maintaining respectful relationships with all.

The Value You’ll Bring To The Team:

• Demonstrates AdventHealth's service standards through behavior
• Performs nutrition-focused physical assessments, reviews medical records, collects data via interviews, evaluates anthropometric status, and calculates standards
• Evaluates assessment data to identify nutrition risks and problems
• Provides nutrition recommendations, education, counseling, and referrals
• Delivers culturally sensitive counseling and education, using evidence-based theories like the transtheoretical model and motivational interviewing

Minimum Qualifications:

• Active registered dietitian status with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR)
• Active licensed status in the practicing state
• Bachelor's degree in nutrition or related field with 3 years of clinical experience, OR graduate degree with 1 year of clinical experience
