The role you’ll contribute:

The registered dietitian utilizes the nutrition care process to screen, assess, diagnose, offer nutrition intervention, and monitor the nutrition status and progress of patients. The dietitian follows the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Standards of Practice in Nutrition Care and Standards of Professional Performance. They actively participate in outstanding customer service and maintain respectful relationships with all.

• Demonstrates AdventHealth's service standards through behavior.
• Assessment: Completes nutrition-focused physical assessments, reviews medical records, collects data via interviews, utilizes validated tools, evaluates anthropometric status, and calculates estimated standards.
• Diagnosis: Evaluates assessment data to identify nutrition risks, problems, malnutrition criteria, knowledge deficits, and high-risk health behaviors.
• Intervention: Provides nutrition recommendations, orders, education/counseling, and referrals as needed.

Qualifications

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:

• Bachelor's degree in nutrition or related field with three years of clinical experience OR a graduate degree with one year of clinical experience.
• Current active registered dietitian status with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).
• Current active licensed status in the state of practice.
