Role Responsibilities

The registered dietitian utilizes the nutrition care process to screen, assess, diagnose, offer nutrition intervention, and monitor the nutrition status and progress of patients. They follow the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Standards of Practice in Nutrition Care and Standards of Professional Performance. The role involves active participation in outstanding customer service and maintaining respectful relationships.

• Completes nutrition-focused physical assessments, reviews medical records, collects data, evaluates anthropometric status, and calculates standards.
• Evaluates assessment data to identify nutrition risks and problems.
• Offers nutrition recommendations, education, counseling, and referrals.

Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelor's degree in nutrition or related field AND three years of clinical experience OR Graduate degree in nutrition or related field AND one-year clinical experience.
• Current active registered dietitian status with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).
• Current active licensed status in the practicing state.
