Job summary

Kane Dietitians, part of Elior North America, seeks a Registered Dietitian to join our healthcare team in Pittsburgh. You will assess nutritional needs, plan interventions, and collaborate with care teams to support patients’ quality of life.

You will educate patients and staff, follow Academy standards, and participate in continuous quality improvement, while ensuring regulatory compliance and resident rights are protected.

Qualifications

• Passed the national examination by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) or meets the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics requirements for eligibility.
• Completes 75 hours of continuing education hours every five years, in accordance with the CDR, utilizing the professional portfolio development process.
• Licensed or certified, per state requirements.
• Knowledge of regulation standards specific to comprehensive assessments, care planning, and residents’ rights.
• Ability to teach others, specifically pertaining to nutrition and dietetics.

Responsibilities

• Provide nutritional expertise to the health care team and educating patients/residents, staff, or consultants.
• Following the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics’ standards of practice and facility regulatory requirements.
• Interacting with other departments in setting up procedures and policies, and in problem solving as it relates to dining service and nutrition.
• Actively participating in the development, review, and revision of continuous quality improvement programs.
