Job summary

The Elior North America healthcare team seeks a Registered Dietitian to join the Kane Dietitians unit in Pittsburgh. You will assess nutritional needs, recommend interventions, and support residents to improve quality of life within their care plans.

You'll work with interdisciplinary teams, adhere to Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics standards, and contribute to ongoing quality improvement in dining services and nutrition care.

Qualifications

• Must pass the national examination administered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) or meets the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics requirements for eligibility.
• Completes 75 hours of continuing education hours every five years, in accordance with the CDR, utilizing the professional portfolio development process.
• Licensed or certified, per state requirements.
• Knowledge of regulation standards specific to comprehensive assessments, care planning, and residents’ rights.

Responsibilities

• Provide nutritional expertise to the health care team and educate patients/residents, staff, or consultants.
• Follow the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics’ standards of practice and facility regulatory requirements.
• Interact with other departments in setting up procedures and policies, and in problem solving as it relates to dining service and nutrition.
• Actively participate in the development, review, and revision of continuous quality improvement programs.
