Job summary

Park Royal Hospital is seeking a full-time Registered Dietitian to promote health and recovery within a behavioral health setting. This role offers a $5,000 sign-on bonus and day hours, with Acadia Healthcare serving as the parent organization.

The Dietitian will assess nutritional needs, develop care plans, counsel patients and families, and collaborate with physicians to tailor dietary interventions for mental health and recovery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in Dietetics or Nutrition (licensure)
• Experience with eating disorders and substance use strongly preferred

Responsibilities

• Assess nutritional needs, diet restrictions and current health plans to develop and implement dietary-care plans and provide nutritional counseling.
• Approve patient menus and nutritional supplements.
• Advise patients and families on nutritional principles, dietary plans and food selection.
• Provide nutritional assessments per facility policy and regulation.
• Review and approve menus developed by the facility.
• Counsel individuals and groups on nutrition, healthy eating habits and monitoring to improve quality of life.
• Consult with physicians to determine nutritional needs and diet restrictions of patient.
• Participate in treatment team as appropriate.
• Review and approve facility diet manual annually with medical staff.
• Promote health by speaking to groups about diet, nutrition and relation to disease.
• Monitor food service operations to ensure conformance to standards.
