Job summary

Park Royal Behavioral Health Services is seeking a full time Registered Dietitian to promote health and recovery within a behavioral health setting. Join Park Royal Hospital to become part of Acadia Healthcare, the nation’s largest stand-alone provider of mental health and addiction treatment.

The Dietitian will assess nutritional needs, approve menus, counsel patients, collaborate with physicians, and participate in treatment teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Dietetics, Nutrition or similar field acceptable for licensure.
• Experience with eating disorders and substance use strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess nutritional needs and develop dietary-care plans with counseling.
• Approve patient menus and nutritional supplements.
• Advise patients and families on nutritional principles and plans.
• Provide nutritional assessments per facility policy and regulation.
• Review and approve facility menus.
• Counsel individuals and groups on nutrition and healthy eating habits.
• Consult with physicians to determine nutritional needs and diet restrictions.
• Participate in treatment team as appropriate.
• Review and approve facility diet manual annually with medical staff.
• Promote health by educating patients on diet and its relation to disease.
• Monitor food service operations for compliance with nutritional safety and quality standards.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Dietetics or equivalent
