AdventHealth in Rome, GA is seeking a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist to deliver evidence-based nutrition care in a hospital setting. You will assess nutrition needs and develop individualized care plans, providing counseling to diverse patients.

Work Schedule: 5 days a week, will need to rotate coverage on weekends (usually work 1 weekend a month)
Conducts comprehensive nutrition assessments by evaluating medical history, anthropometric data, nutrition-focused physical findings, dietary intake, and malnutrition risk to develop individualized care plans.
Provides evidence-based nutrition interventions, counseling, education, and care management for patients with acute and chronic disease states, utilizing culturally sensitive and health literacy‑appropriate approaches.
Monitors, evaluates, and adjusts nutrition care plans to achieve clinical nutrition goals, optimize patient outcomes, and support recovery and disease management.
Collaborates with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams during patient care rounds to develop, implement, and coordinate nutrition plans of care, including nutrition orders when authorized.
Maintains accurate electronic health record documentation while supporting quality improvement, research initiatives, staff development, and the training of dietetic interns, technicians, and new team members.
Must be able to read, write, speak, and have good comprehension of conversational English
Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office
Comprehensive knowledge and application of nutrition services and medical nutrition therapy
General knowledge of nutrient analysis, word processing, e‑mail, and spreadsheet software
Ability to search the web for nutrition research or practice updates and apply knowledge to updating reference materials, preparing for presentations, education, etc.
Avails self to staff on units as the nutrition expert
Participates in Quality Improvement activities
Attends interdisciplinary meetings and rounds on assigned units as scheduled unless valid excuse demonstrated
Reviews and/or updates department resource/reference materials when applicable or Required
