Job summary

One Stop Recruiting is seeking a Registered Dietitian (RD) in Phoenix, AZ for a Monday–Friday role focused on evidence-based Medical Nutrition Therapy in community and outpatient settings. You will assess patients, create actionable care plans, and deliver counseling with a linguistically diverse team.

Qualifications

• Credentialed as a Registered Dietitian (RD) with CDR credentialing.
• Minimum 1 year of experience as an RD.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive nutritional assessments and analyze medical history, diet, anthropometrics and labs.
• Develop, implement and monitor Medical Nutrition Therapy care plans.
• Provide nutrition counseling using motivational interviewing techniques.
• Train and mentor WIC staff, providing on-site and telephone assistance.
• Oversee food/formula authorizations and coordinate with providers.
• Deliver culturally and linguistically appropriate nutrition education.
• Document encounters and outcomes in the EHR.
• Travel bi-monthly to clinic/community sites in the Phoenix area.

Registered Dietitian (RD)

Overview:

Our mission-driven healthcare organization in the Phoenix area is dedicated to improving health outcomes across diverse communities. In this Monday–Friday role, you will provide evidence-based Medical Nutrition Therapy in community and outpatient settings, conducting nutritional assessments, developing individualized care plans, and delivering culturally and linguistically appropriate counseling alongside a supportive interdisciplinary team.

Position Offers:

• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM


• Competitive salary: $62,000–70,000 annually (DOE)

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive nutritional assessments, including medical history, dietary intake, anthropometrics, and relevant lab data


• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized Medical Nutrition Therapy care plans for patients with chronic and acute conditions


• Provide one-on-one and group nutrition counseling using motivational interviewing techniques


• Train, mentor, and evaluate local agency WIC staff, providing on-site and telephone technical assistance


• Oversee and approve food and formula special authorizations, coordinating with medical providers as needed


• Deliver culturally and linguistically appropriate nutrition education to diverse populations


• Document patient encounters, assessments, and outcomes accurately in the EHR


• Travel bi-monthly to clinic and community sites in the Phoenix area to provide on-site nutrition services

Qualifications:

• Credentialed as a Registered Dietitian (RD) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR)


• Minimum 1 year of experience as an RD


• Valid driver's license and clean 5-year driving record required


• Must be able to pass a background check


• Knowledge of the WIC program


• Bilingual in Spanish preferred
