Job summary

Baptist Health in Kentucky is seeking a Registered Dietitian I Full Time on First Shift – with holiday and weekend on-call responsibilities – to provide medical nutrition therapy to patients, employees, and the community in line with our mission and values.

You will establish a Nutrition Care Process, document patient data, and deliver nutrition education to patients and families, supporting evidence-based dietary care across the hospital and outreach programs.

Qualifications

• ACEND/AND-accredited nutrition degree required.
• CDR registration or registry eligible within 6 months.
• Kentucky Dietitian license required within 3 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Maintains patient data to tailor therapeutic diets.

Summary Job Description: Registered Dietitian I Full Time, First Shift – Holidays, Weekends, and On-Call Responsible for providing medical nutrition therapy to patients, employees, and the community in accordance with the mission, vision, and values of Baptist Health.

Job Duties

• Establishes and implements a standardized Nutrition Care Process to identify and treat those patients requiring Medical Nutrition Therapy.
• Maintains pertinent patient data necessary to recommend, prescribe, or modify therapeutic diets as needed to meet the nutritional needs of the patients.
• Develops and provides nutrition education/counseling to patients, patient family, and patient caretakers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from a recognized accredited University or College approved by the Accreditation Council for Education and Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) or the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND)
• Current registration with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) or registry eligible (must obtain within 6 months of hire)
• Licensed Dietitian in the state of Kentucky (must obtain within 3 months of hire or within 3 months of obtaining credentials)

Preferred Requirements

• One year experience as a Registered Dietitian preferred
