Job summary

HHS, LLC is seeking a Registered Dietitian to lead medical nutrition therapy for patients at Memorial Medical Center-Las Cruces. You will guide patients, families, and staff to meet nutritional needs and improve satisfaction and quality care.

The role involves collaboration with physicians, nurses, and dietary service teams, with a focus on comprehensive assessments, education, and care plan development. On-site position with competitive salary and benefits.

Qualifications

• Registered Dietitian with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and licensed as required by state regulations.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Nutrition & Dietetics or related field.
• Knowledge of regulatory standards and ability to document in medical records.

• Educate patients, families, nursing, dietary staff, and community on special diets and dining needs.
• Document assessments and interventions in the medical record with clear nutritional goals.

• Communicate with physicians and clinical staff on nutritional status of patients.
• Attend rounds and nutrition meetings; maintain nutrition policies to support regulatory compliance.

Guide patients/residents, families, and facility staff on all aspects of medical nutrition therapy to create a healthy and healing environment. Build relationships with physicians and nurses to support patient satisfaction and achieve quality care that meets each patient’s nutritional needs.

Responsibilities

Registered Dietitian at Memorial Medical Center-Las Cruces

Starting salary $65,000 (Negotiable based on experience) + $3,000 RD sign-on bonus.

Registration Eligible candidates accepted!

Extra benefits include paid CDR and state licensure fees and up to 18 free CEUs annually!

• Complete nutritional assessments for all patients/residents to create care plans with nutritional goals
• Provide education to patients/residents, families, nursing, dietary service, and other community staff on issues regarding special diets and patient/resident dining needs
• Document assessment of patients/residents with nutritional goals and interventions in the medical record
• Review and approve patients’/residents' daily menu, snack, and supplement programs
• Communicate with physicians and clinical staff on patients’/ residents’ nutritional status
• Attend resident rounds and nutrition meetings, and maintain clinical nutrition policies to support regulatory compliance

Requirements

• Registered Dietitian with the Commission of Dietetic Registration and licensed dietitian as required per state regulations
