Job summary

Apple Rehab in Hartford, CT is seeking a Registered Dietitian to provide comprehensive nutritional care for residents in our long term care facility. The RD ensures compliance with Food Service regulations and standards of practice, offering counsel and/or directives to Dietary Managers, Nursing, or Administrators as deemed necessary.

The RD participates in weekly “At Risk” meetings and monitors resident weights and nutrition intake.

Qualifications

• Registered Dietitian with clinical and production experience in long term care setting.
• Certified by the State of Connecticut as a CD-N.
• Current knowledge of dietary practices, procedures, laws, regulations and guidelines as they apply to long term care.
• Effective communication skills; oral and written.
• Self-motivated and flexible.
• Must demonstrate cooperation; team player approach.
• Must demonstrate patience, tact, enthusiasm, positive attitude.
• Valid driver’s license with vehicle.

Responsibilities

Role Description:
