Job summary

Apple Rehab Clipper is seeking a part-time Registered Dietitian to provide comprehensive nutritional care for residents in our Rhode Island facility. The RD will ensure compliance with food service regulations and collaborate with Dietary Managers, Nursing, and Administrators as needed.

Responsibilities include monitoring resident weights and nutrition, participating in weekly At Risk meetings, and making diet recommendations to meet residents’ needs.

Qualifications

• Registered Dietitian with clinical and production experience in long term care.
• CT State CD-N certification holder.
• Knowledge of dietary practices, laws and guidelines for long term care.
• Excellent oral and written communication; teamwork and adaptability.

Pay:

Based on experience, $36-$42/hour

Role Description:

The Registered Dietitian provides comprehensive nutritional care for residents in the facility. Ensures compliance with Food Service regulations and standards of practice offering counsel and/or directive to Dietary Managers, Nursing, or Administrators as deemed necessary. The Registered Dietitian participates in weekly “At Risk” meetings, monitors resident weights and nutrition intake as well as makes recommendations regarding resident diets and supplementary needs.

Qualifications:

• Registered Dietitian with clinical and production experience in long term care setting.
• Certified by the State of Connecticut as a CD-N.
• Current knowledge of dietary practices, procedures, laws, regulations and guidelines as they apply to long term care.
• Effective communication skills; oral and written.
• Self-motivated and flexible.
• Must demonstrate cooperation; team player approach.
• Must demonstrate patience, tact, enthusiasm, positive attitude.
• Valid driver’s license with vehicle.
