Monroe Health & Rehab Center in Hazlewood, PA is seeking a Part-Time Registered Dietitian to plan and deliver nutritional care to residents per physician orders and current standards.

This role requires a Bachelor's in Dietetics or Foods and Nutrition, active RD license, and experience in long-term care. You will help maintain food safety, follow dietary policies, and collaborate with the clinical team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Dietetics or Foods and Nutrition and an active Registered Dietitian license.
• Active membership/registration with the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
• 2 years in long-term care with some admin responsibility or 1 year as a consulting dietitian.
• Working knowledge of food safety and sanitation.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver nutritional care to residents according to physicians’ orders and applicable standards.
• Follow health, sanitary and infection control policies and dietary procedures.
• Maintain established standards of practice within the community.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Dietetics or Foods and Nutrition

Active state license as Registered Dietitian

Commission on Dietetic Registration membership/registration

Experience in long-term care with admin responsibility (2 yrs)

Experience as consulting dietitian (1 yr)

Knowledge of food safety and sanitation

Position Summary:

The primary purpose of your job is to plan and deliver nutritional care to residents in accordance with the physicians’ orders and with current federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations that govern the community. Follows all health, sanitary and infection control policies and maintains established standards of practice set forth by the community's administration and Dietary Policies and Procedures.

Education/Qualifications:

• Must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Dietetics or Foods and Nutrition and must hold an active state license as a Registered Dietitian.
• Must maintain active membership and registration with the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
• Must possess two (2) years of experience as a professional dietitian or dietetic technician in long-term care with some administrative responsibility, or one (1) year experience as a registered consulting dietitian.
• Must possess working knowledge of the fundamentals of food safety and sanitation.
