The-Grand-Healthcare-System is hiring a Dietitian for a full-time role in our long-term care facility. You will assess residents’ nutritional needs, develop personalized meal plans, and collaborate with the care team to ensure dietary requirements are met.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, or a related field.
• Current Registered Dietitian (RD) certification required.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in dietary counseling, with experience in long-term care or healthcare facilities preferred.
• Strong communication skills and ability to educate others effectively.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating as part of an interdisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Nutrition Assessment: Evaluate residents' nutritional needs through assessments and collaborate with healthcare providers to develop personalized dietary plans.
• Meal Planning: Develop and implement nutritious, balanced meal plans tailored to individual medical needs, preferences, and dietary restrictions.
• Education and Support: Educate residents, families, and staff about the importance of nutrition in maintaining health and preventing disease.
• Dietary Monitoring: Monitor residents' nutritional intake and make adjustments as necessary, ensuring their ongoing health and comfort.
• Collaborative Care: Work with other healthcare professionals to address residents' overall health needs, adjusting dietary plans as part of an interdisciplinary care approach.
• Compliance and Documentation: Ensure all meal planning and dietary services comply with state and federal regulations. Keep accurate records of all nutrition-related care.
• Staff Training: Provide training and support to kitchen staff and others in the facility to ensure proper food preparation and dietary compliance.
