Job summary

Freedom Pointe at The Villages in The Villages, FL is seeking a Registered Dietitian to evaluate nutrition status, plan medical nutrition therapy, and educate patients and families. You will collaborate with the Care Plan Team and other healthcare providers in this community-based setting.

Qualifications

• Must be a Registered Dietitian.
• A minimum of two years experience in related field.
• Certified in safety and sanitation in regards to food service.
• Experience with performing clinical assessments on residents, meeting with Care Plan Team, performing input on MDS.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates and assesses nutrition status of patients, and screens patients for nutritional risk in accordance with established department protocols and standards.
• Plans and initiates medical nutrition therapy to patients if indicated by patient requirements and clinical protocol.
• Educates and counsels patients and families on nutritional issues, either individually or in groups
• Communicates individual nutritional care plans to other health care providers as a member of a health care team.
