Job summary

Horsham Center for Jewish Life is seeking a Full-Time Registered Dietitian to deliver comprehensive nutrition care in a long-term care setting. The role emphasizes medical nutrition therapy, assessments, care planning, and ongoing evaluation of residents’ nutritional needs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Dietetics from an accredited college or university.
  • Master’s degree in Dietetics or a related field, as required by applicable regulations.
  • Registered with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
  • Licensed in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania or able to obtain licensure within the applicable timeframe.
  • Knowledge of nutrition practices in long-term care or skilled nursing environments.
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations governing dietary services in nursing facilities.
  • Experience with quantity food production methods is preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and recordkeeping abilities.
  • Ability to interact professionally with residents, families, interdisciplinary team, staff, and the public.
  • Strong leadership and ability to guide dietary staff.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure dining services meet nutrition, sanitation, safety, and regulatory standards.
  • Liaise between Food Services and clinical staff.
  • Provide guidance to dietary staff.
  • Ensure compliance with CMS vaccination requirements.
  • Participate in quality improvement and care planning.

Horsham Center for Jewish Life is a 324-bed long-term care community dedicated to providing compassionate, high-quality care while supporting the health, comfort, and quality of life of our residents.

We are seeking a Full-Time Registered Dietitian to join our team and provide comprehensive nutrition care in a long-term care setting. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated nutrition professional who is passionate about helping residents achieve their best possible health through individualized nutrition care.

The Registered Dietitian will provide medical nutrition therapy, nutritional assessments, care planning, and ongoing evaluation of residents’ nutritional needs and treatment effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide nutrition services in accordance with facility policies, procedures, and applicable federal and state requirements.

  • Plan, organize, develop, implement, and direct the nutritional care of residents.

  • Complete nutritional assessments and develop individualized nutrition care plans based on resident needs.

  • Provide medical nutrition therapy and evaluate the effectiveness of nutrition interventions.

  • Monitor residents’ nutritional status and make recommendations as appropriate.

  • Maintain accurate clinical records and complete required documentation and reports.

  • Collaborate with nursing, medical, dietary, and other interdisciplinary team members to ensure quality nutritional care.

  • Serve as a resource and partner to the Food Services Director.

  • Help ensure dining services maintain appropriate nutrition, sanitation, safety, and regulatory standards.

  • Serve as a liaison between the Food Services Department and clinical staff.

  • Provide guidance, education, and support to dietary staff as appropriate.

  • Ensure nutritional programs and practices remain compliant with current federal, state, and local regulations.

  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and interdisciplinary care planning.
