Job summary

Sayre Christian Village in Lexington, KY is seeking a dedicated Registered Dietitian to lead nutritional care for residents in a faith-based nonprofit community. You will assess residents, collaborate with nursing and dining teams, and ensure regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Experience working with seniors in a care setting is preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a team and with multiple disciplines (nursing, dietary, administration).
• Strong attention to quality, safety, and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Ensure nutritional assessments are completed for residents within regulatory timeframes.
• Make nutrition care recommendations to Nursing Services and Dining Services.
• Monitor resident nutritional needs and participate in clinical nutrition planning.
• Obtain physician orders as needed to meet nutritional requirements.
• Develop, review, and approve menus including therapeutic options.

Your Role & Responsibilities:

• Assure nutritional assessments are completed to include the MDS on all residents within regulatory time frames and according to facility policies.
• Make recommendations to Nursing Services and Dining Services on nutritional care.
• Monitor and evaluate resident nutritional needs and participate with clinical team on nutritional to include nutritional meetings and planning.
• Obtain physician orders and support as necessary to meet the nutritional needs of the resident.
• Develop, review and approve menus to include extended and therapeutics.

Qualifications:

• Registered as a Dietitian in the state of Kentucky.
• Experience in managing and supervising nutritional and clinical food service operations.
• Experience in a long-term care clinical setting with a homelike environment.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
