Role Description

This is a part time contract role for a Registered Dietitian located in Gurnee, Illinois:

Responsibilities

• Designed and maintained compliant, cost-effective menus aligned with regulatory and nutritional standards
• Provided accurate calorie and carbohydrate analysis for all menu offerings
• Developed standardized recipes with detailed ingredient specifications, portioning, and full nutritional analysis across multiple service groups
• Created inclusive, allergen-conscious menus with clear disclosures and diverse, engaging options

Qualifications

• Expertise in Dietetics and Nutrition with a strong foundation in applying dietary principles.
• Experience in Nutritional Counseling to guide and educate individuals toward healthier lifestyle choices.
• Knowledge in Dietitian must be knowledgeable and ensure compliance with the following: ISBE (CACFP), DCFS, NSLP guidelines
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage effectively with a diverse client base.
• Registered Dietitian (RD) credential or eligibility to obtain RD certification.
• Experience in food service management or K12 school nutrition is a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or related field; Master’s degree is a plus.
