Job summary

Power Wellness is seeking a Registered Dietitian for a part-time role at the Delnor Health & Fitness Center in Geneva, IL. You will provide professional nutrition counseling, develop educational curricula, and present programs to members and the community.

The ideal candidate holds an ACEND-aligned Bachelor's degree, has completed clinical training, and maintains RDN certification; CPR/AED is required within 90 days of hire. Experience in fitness settings is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college with ACEND-aligned coursework.
• Completion of clinical training that meets ACEND guidelines.
• RDN certification from the CDR; LDN may be required by state/federal rules.
• CPR/AED certification required within 90 days of hire (provided by Power Wellness).
• Weight management certification preferred.

Position Title: Registered Dietician
Location: Delnor Health & Fitness Center
Type: Part-Time ($17-$34/hr)

Join our team of full time and part-time staff at the Delnor Health & Fitness Center. Our facility is managed by Power Wellness Management, a company that specializes in managing state-of-the-art medically integrated health and fitness centers.

The Registered Dietician provides professional nutritional counseling and education as it relates to positive, healthy behaviors and the provision of reliable, goal-directed nutrition information to the members and community served.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Provide nutritional counseling to clients addressing individual nutritional goals.
2. Plan and present nutrition related programs and seminars for the members and community.
3. Develop and maintain nutritional curriculum and obtain educational materials.
4. Maintain licensure or registration in good standing and meet continuing education requirements.
5. Demonstrate excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively teach and interact with clients.
6. Contribute to the marketing efforts of the center and nutritional services both within the center and the community.
7. Be proficient in all core business software as it relates to job duties and responsibilities.
8. Work towards meeting departmental and organizational goals.
9. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or college and course work accredited or approved by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics required.
• Completion of clinical training that meets the guidelines set by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics required.
• Prior work experience or an internship in the fitness industry preferred.
• Minimum of 2 of years of clinical experience preferred.
• CPR/AED certification required within 90 days of hire (provided by Power Wellness)
• Current Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) certification from the Commission of Dietetic Registry (CDR) required. Licensed Dietitian Nutritionist (LDN) may be required per state and/or federal requirements.
• Certification in weight management preferred.
• Must possess excellent inter-personal and communication skills, and the ability to work with members in a positive, service-based manner.
• Ability to multi-task and maintain a controlled and professional demeanor.
• Ability to be flexible and accommodating as it relates to center hours, work schedules and scheduling appointments for prospects and members.
• Proficient computer skills.
