Job summary

Qualifications

• ARRT certification required.
• Radiologic technologist license in state of practice (if applicable).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for healthcare providers.
• May be required to complete the MA Competency Checklist and perform MA functions in a clinic or InstaCare setting.

Responsibilities

• Maintains ARRT or modality-specific competency in clinical/technical functions.
• Prepares patient, verifies identity, and reviews exam protocols.
• Performs exams per department protocol and ensures image quality.
• Follows radiation safety guidelines and maintains a safe working environment.
• Assists and instructs students and other Radiology Techs in protocols and positioning.
• Provides patient education, ensures comfort, and addresses concerns.
• Implements infection control and sterile techniques.
• Operates equipment and related information systems for quality images.
• Keeps accurate records of patient information and procedures.
• Follows codes for medical necessity, coding, charging, consents, QC, and reports equipment failures.
