Job summary

Newberry County Memorial Hospital in Newberry, SC seeks a full-time Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to perform ultrasound imaging. The role includes checking orders, documenting results, and ensuring timely interpretation by physicians while possibly working 4x10 hour days with some call nights and weekends.

Eligible candidates must hold an RDMS registration and a SCQRSA license; BLS is required, vascular experience and echo credentials are preferred.

Qualifications

• SCQRSA license required.
• Must be registered as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS).
• BLS certification required.
• Vascular Experience preferred.
• Echo (RDCS/CCI) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs Ultrasound imaging and procedures.
• Checks orders/requisitions prior to the imaging study.
• Provides accurate computer documentation.
• Monitors procedures for timely interpretation by physicians.

Newberry County Memorial Hospital is looking for a full-time Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, (Monday-Friday 7:30 am to 4 pm (possibly 4 10-hour days); includes call nights and weekends) who performs Ultrasound imaging and procedures, checks orders/requisitions prior to performing the imaging study/procedure; provides accurate computer documentation; and monitors procedures for timely interpretation by physicians.

Requirements

• South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association (SCQRSA) license required
• Must be registered as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS)
• Vascular Experience (RVT)/ CCI (RVS) preferred
• Echo (RDCS/CCI (ACS) preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required
