Smile West Virginia , a school-based mobile dental practice, is seeking a Registered Dental Hygienist in Fairmont, WV and surrounding areas to help provide dental care to underserved children at their school.

Our innovative in-school dental program offers a different experience than a traditional practice. With a workday ending with the school day and no nights or weekends, it’s ideal for those seeking a diverse, flexible work environment, working parents, or anyone wanting to make a difference.

Qualifications

• Active RDH license
• 2+ years’ experience as a Dental Hygienist
• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and willingness to travel to schools
• Good teamwork skills with children and adults
• Current CPR (BLS) certification
• Ability to carry up to 50 lbs

Responsibilities

• Assist with oral health management, collaborating with team members
• Verify patient identity and document in medical charts
• Conduct oral health assessments and review medical histories
• Provide oral hygiene services: prophylaxis, sealants, fluoride
• Assist dentist as directed
• Offer oral health education and counseling
• Document services provided
• Travel daily to school sites
