Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified and caring Registered Dental Hygienist to join our team! As a Registered Dental Hygienist, you will provide top-notch dental care that makes our clients feel like family. You will screen patients, perform dental cleanings, diagnose and treat periodontal disease, and assist Dr. Watwe with exams and procedures. The ideal candidate is state-licensed as a Registered Dental Hygienist and is a team player. Responsibilities

Welcome patients into the treatment area and make them feel comfortable

Discuss the dental care plan with patients and answer any questions they have

Prep sterilized equipment for hygiene procedures

Take vital signs and accurately record medical histories

Perform preliminary exams and collect oral health histories

Evaluate patients for signs of gum disease, cavities, and infection

Perform Oral Cancer Screening

Remove plaque, calculus, and apply fluoride treatments

Provide periodontal maintenance cleanings and scaling and root planing; diagnose periodontal disease

Teach good oral hygiene techniques, discuss home care

Create dental impressions (analog and digital)

Take x-rays (we have only digital, both pano and in our procedure rooms)

Assist dentist during minor procedures (polishing a restoration, checking occlusion) and exams

Adhere to all health and safety regulations and office policies

Qualifications

Current Dental Hygienist licensure

Strong understanding of HIPAA and OSHA regulations and all dentistry safety guidelines

Able to stand for extended periods and bend repeatedly if needed

Excellent communication and customer service skills
