About the Role

As a Registered Dental Assistant, you will work directly with the dentist during procedures, assist with patient care, manage sterilization protocols, and perform a variety of clinical and administrative tasks. You will play a critical role in helping patients achieve their best smile by assisting with dental procedures, providing excellent patient care, and supporting office operations.

Responsibilities

1. Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring efficient workflow and patient comfort.
2. Educate parents and children about proper oral hygiene practices and the importance of regular dental visits, making learning engaging and accessible.
3. Accurately chart patient information and maintain thorough documentation of treatments and observations.
4. Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment, strictly adhering to infection control protocols to ensure patient safety.
5. Perform coronal polishing and fluoride treatments as needed to support preventive care.
6. Take and process dental X-rays in accordance with safety guidelines.
7. Place and remove rubber dams and assist in applying pit and fissure sealants.
8. Prepare and mix dental materials for use during procedures.
9. Provide post-treatment instructions to patients and parents, ensuring they understand aftercare recommendations.
10. Conduct preliminary impressions for study models or temporary restorations when required.

What We're Looking For

Qualifications:

1. Valid Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) certification.
2. Experience in a pediatric dental setting is preferred but not required.
3. Pit & Fissure Sealant Certification.
4. Successful completion of the initial online assessment provided during the application process.
5. Willingness to work 2 Saturdays a month.
6. Positive and friendly attitude, with a passion for working with children.

1. Strong interpersonal skills and a genuine enthusiasm for working with children and their families.
2. Excellent attention to detail, ensuring dental procedures are carried out accurately and effectively.
3. Knowledge of behavior modification techniques and child psychology is a plus.
4. Effective communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly to both children and parents.
5. Proactive advocate for oral health education and preventive care, helping families maintain good oral hygiene habits.
6. Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively with both administrative and clinical teams to ensure efficient office operations and high-quality patient care.
