Job Description

The Dental Assistant performs a variety of assisting duties to promote quality dental care in a safe, low-stress environment. Responsibilities include assisting the doctor, educating patients on dental care, communicating effectively with patients and parents, and adhering to OSHA and universal precautions. This position requires working on Saturdays.

Job Duties

• Set up and seat patients, ensure rooms are stocked, cleaned, and prepared for treatment
• Document patient notes and initials correctly; complete necessary forms, consents, and prescriptions
• Assist the doctor chairside with procedures
• Manage medical records, including receiving and releasing records as needed
• Use appropriate materials and instruments during treatment; follow safety protocols; take radiographs accurately
• Ensure treatment plan charges and discounts are correctly applied
