Job Description:

The Dental Assistant is responsible for performing a variety of dental assisting duties while promoting quality dental care for our patients and maintaining a safe environment with minimal stress. The Dental Assistant assists the doctor, educates patients on dental care, communicates effectively with patients (including parents of pediatric patients), and follows universal precautions and OSHA requirements. This position requires working Saturdays.

Dental Assistant Requirements:

Dental Assistant Job Duties:

• Set up and seat patients for the doctor, ensuring rooms are properly stocked, cleaned, and prepared for treatment. Provide excellent patient care while adhering to protocols.
• Accurately document all patient notes, initial correct forms, and ensure completion of consents, medical clearances, and prescriptions.
• Assist the doctor chairside with all procedures cheerfully.
• Manage Medical Records by ensuring all records are received and properly released when needed.
• Assist the doctor using appropriate materials and instruments, follow OSHA and safety protocols, and accurately take radiographs to minimize retakes and radiation exposure.
• Ensure treatment plans and charges are correct, including discounts.
