Salt Dental Partners is a thriving pediatric dental practice in California dedicated to compassionate care and the highest clinical standards. We are seeking a pediatric dental assistant to support clinicians, greet families, and help maintain a welcoming, efficient office.

You will assist with radiographs, impressions, and intraoral photos, prepare rooms, and provide chair-side support while upholding patient privacy and safety in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 6+ months of practical experience as a pediatric dental assistant.
• CPR or BCLS certification required.
• Completion of a CODA-accredited dental assisting program preferred.
• Strong communication, confidentiality, and professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Greet and engage patients with respect and a smile.
• Explain treatment plans and oral health information clearly to patients.
• Take and process radiographs, impressions, and intraoral photos.
• Prepare and sterilize treatment rooms and equipment.
• Provide chair-side assistance and document care in patient records.
• Maintain a clean, sterile, patient-centric office environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet and engage patients with respect and a smile


• Ensure patients are well informed and comfortable — before, during, and after their appointment — about their treatment and oral health

Clinical Support

• Take and process dental radiographs, impressions, and intraoral photos


• Prepare and sterilize treatment room and equipment


• Provide chair-side assistance to providers during treatment procedures


• Document dental care services by charting in patients' records


• Maintain a clean, sterile, and patient-centric working environment

Requirements

• 6+ months of practical experience as a pediatric dental assistant


• CPR or BCLS certification


• Completion of a CODA-accredited dental assisting program (preferred)


• Quick learner with problem-solving skills


• Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality


• Technical/troubleshooting skills for software used in charting, patient records, and scheduling


• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

• Organized, with solid knowledge of dentistry and dental terminology
