Compensation: $23.50-$32.75 per hour

Job Overview

Registered Dental Assistants perform a variety of patient care, office, and laboratory duties. The primary role of the RDA is to assist the dentist in delivering the best possible treatment with urgency. Responsibilities include assisting with treatment initiation, utilizing x-ray and intra-oral imaging, educating patients, and supporting diagnosis while complying with safety and infection control regulations.

Responsibilities

1. Assist the dentist to gain the patient’s commitment for treatment with urgency.
2. Participate in the Perfect Patient ExperienceÔ by focusing on patient needs and concerns.
3. Maintain a clean, sterile, and welcoming environment; prepare patients and assist the dentist for efficient treatment.
4. Complete x-rays and intra-oral pictures as directed by the dentist.
5. Instruct patients on postoperative and oral health care.
6. Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment following ADA guidelines.
7. Ensure compliance with all applicable safety and health regulations (OSHA, HIPAA, etc.).

Qualifications

1. High school diploma or GED, with required state training or certification.
2. Certifications/licenses as mandated by state (e.g., radiograph, sealant, ultrasonic scaling).
3. Associate degree or a one-year certificate from an accredited institution, or equivalent experience preferred.
