Job summary

AltaMed Health Services Corporation is seeking a Registered Dental Assistant to support dentists and hygienists in delivering primary dental care at our clinic in Los Angeles. You will handle instrument sterilization, prep work, and inventory control while maintaining strict infection control standards.

The role requires bilingual English/Spanish, a valid CA Driver's License for Mobile Units, and a current BLS certification, with a Sealants certification due within 60 days of hire.

• Credentialed as a valid licensed Registered Dental Assistant with Coronal polishing / X-Rays and Infection control.
• Sealants certification required within 60 days after hire.
• Valid CA Driver's License if assigned to Mobile Units, required.
• DOJ/FBI background clearance within 30 days if Mobile Units, required.
• Bilingual English/Spanish also required.
• Minimum requirement of a valid BLS certification or higher, following AHA/Red Cross guidelines.

Job Overview

This position is responsible for assisting the dentist(s) and the dental hygienist(s) in the direct provision of primary care dental services to patients at the clinic.

The Registered Dental Assistant is also responsible for sterilization, preparation, and inventory control of dental instruments, supplies, and for proper infection control of all areas involving patient care.

Minimum Requirements

• High School diploma or GED certificate required.
• Credentialed as a valid licensed Registered Dental Assistant with the following certifications: Coronal polishing / X-Rays and Infection control.
• Pit and Fissure Sealants certification will be required within 60 days after the date of hire.
• Valid CA Driver's License, if assigned to Mobile Units, required.
• Successful completion of background DOJ/FBI clearance within 30 days of hire, if assigned to Mobile Units, is required.
• Bilingual English/Spanish also required.
• A minimum requirement of a valid BLS certification or higher, following the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross guidelines.

Compensation

$28.00 - $32.90 hourly

Actual salary offers are considered by various factors, including budget, experience, skills, education, licensure and certifications, and other business considerations. The range is subject to change.
